El Paso County is updating its Major Transportation Corridors Plan, which reflects the county’s need for future improvements to transportation infrastructure. It recommends a list of prioritized projects that the county can pursue as funding is available. The plan has a long-term outlook and is updated approximately every five years. Input from earlier phases of community engagement showed that safety, bike/pedestrian facilities and connections, and roadway improvements are valued by stakeholders and the public.

The draft MTCP recommends improvements to major roads in the county including road upgrades, road widenings, new roadway connections, and bike and pedestrian projects.  Individuals can find the draft MTCP at the Get Involved page:
